外国人想要在中国工作，就必须要申请相应的工作证件，而工作证件的申请周期是比较长的，在申请过程中有很多文件会涉及有效期。这篇文章，SFBC来讲一讲哪些材料会有有效期限制。
1. Passport
一、护照
When foreigners come to China, the most important material is their own passport, the validity of the passport held by the foreigner entering China must be longer than half a year (the current passport is less than 6 months from the expiration of the passport). The validity period of the passport is shorter than half a year, which will not only affect the processing of the work document, but also affect the applicant's entry into China. SFBC suggests that: considering the application cycle of the work document, it is best to keep the validity period of the passport at least one year. If the applicant's passport is valid for nearly one year, he can apply for a new passport in advance.
外国人来中国，最重要的材料就是自己的护照，外籍人士入境中国时，所持护照的有效期必须长于半年（现持有的护照离护照到期的时间不足6个月）。护照有效期短于半年，不仅会影响工作证件的办理，甚至会影响申请人入境中国，SFBC建议：考虑到工作证件的申请周期，护照有效期最好保持在一年以上，如申请人的护照有效期临近一年有效时，可以提前申请新护照的更换。

三、健康体检证明

Therefore, if the medical certificate of a foreigner adopts the commitment system before entering the country, he shall provide a letter of commitment and promise to supplement the health inspection certificate issued by the domestic inspection and quarantine agency after entering the country and bear the risk. When foreigners apply for work permits in China, some regions have such a policy: if they have a valid residence permit, or less than three months after the previous residence permit has been cancelled, they can be exempted from the medical certificate.
不管是境外还是境内的方式申请工作许可证，国内检疫机构的健康体检证明自签发之日起，有效期为六个月。因此，外国人的体检证明在入境前采用承诺制的，须提供承诺书，承诺入境后补充境内检验检疫机构出具的健康检查证明书并承担风险。外籍人士在华申请工作许可时，有些地区有着这样的政策：如果拥有有效的居留许可，或者之前的居留许可注销后不满3个月，可以免除体检证明。
