The new ports are Pazhou Ferry Terminal, Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong West Kowloon Station Port, Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge Zhuhai Port, and Liantang Port. With this policy, eligible passengers can depart from the mainland via the West Kowloon Railway Station in Hong Kong on the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong High-speed railway.

The 144-hour visa-free transit policy allows foreigners from 54 countries with valid international travel documents and confirmed onward tickets to third countries within a 144-hour window to enter through Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport, Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport, or Jieyang Chaoshan Airport, and exit through any of the State Council-approved ports in Guangdong.
