China's visa-free policy and other initiatives to boost international interactions have led to a significant influx of foreign visitors to Beijing. By June 30, the number of foreign arrivals had soared to 1.02 million, marking an impressive 257 percent increase compared to the previous year.

Buoyed by this success, China is broadening its visa-free policy to include more countries, aiming to ease travel for international visitors and foster deeper exchanges with Chinese nationals.

Effective from Monday until December 31, 2025, citizens of New Zealand, Australia, and Poland holding ordinary passports can now visit China for up to 15 days without a visa for purposes such as business, tourism, family visits, or transit.

从周一开始至2025年12月31日，持有普通护照的新西兰、澳大利亚和波兰公民现在可以免签访问中国，最长停留15天，用于商务、旅游、探亲或过境等目的。

The Beijing General Station of Exit and Entry Frontier Inspection reported that, as of 6 pm on Monday, it had already processed over 120 visa-free entries for eligible travelers from these three countries, according to Beijing Daily.

Previously, China had implemented unilateral visa-free policies for passport holders from six countries, including France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, and Malaysia, and later extended the policy to Switzerland, Ireland, Hungary, Austria, Belgium, and Luxembourg.

Officials from the Beijing General Station of Exit and Entry Frontier Inspection noted that this year, 159,000 foreign nationals from these 12 countries have entered China visa-free, representing nearly 70 percent of the total visitors from these nations. This indicates a clear upward trend in the number of international visitors taking advantage of the visa-free policy.
