Recently, "Study in Beijing+" initiative has jointly launched at the ZGC FORUM. This program aims to support international students in China to have internship and employment opportunities, facilitating their internship trials and innovative entrepreneurship endeavors in Beijing.

Beijing Overseas Talents Center and the Exit-Entry Administration Department of Beijing Municipal Public Security Bureau have jointly launched a new 10-measure "Study in Beijing+" initiative, in partnership with institutions like Peking University and Beijing University of Technology. The initiative covers the foreign students' internship, employment, entrepreneurship and life integration in China.

1. Foreign students from overseas universities invited by enterprises in the "Two Zones"(Integrated National Demonstration Zone for Opening Up the Service Sector and China (Beijing) Pilot Free Trade Zone) to enter the Chinese mainland for internship may apply for a short-term port visa for private affairs visa (annotated with "internship") for their entry.
1.由“两区”（国家服务业扩大开放综合示范区和中国（北京）自由贸易试验区）企业邀请的海外大学外国学生，可申请短期私人事务签证（注明“实习”）进入中国大陆实习。
2. Foreign students from overseas universities invited by Beijing municipal institutions and renowned domestic enterprises to enter the country for internship in Beijing may apply for a 1-year private affairs visa (annotated with "internship"), with an invitation letter from the host institution and study proof of the university.
2.由北京市机构和知名国内企业邀请的海外大学外国学生，可申请为期1年的私人事务签证（注明“实习”），并提供主办机构的邀请函和所在大学的在校证明。
3. Eligible foreign students in Beijing universities may apply for study residence permits with annotations for "part-time work" to engage in part-time work activities with certification letters and relevant materials from their schools.

4. Encouraging foreign doctoral graduates to conduct scientific research at Beijing postdoctoral research stations or workstations. Foreign postdoctoral researchers entering these stations may apply for private affairs or work-related residence permits. Qualified foreign PhD holders may apply for permanent residency in China.

5. Outstanding foreign graduates from domestic "Double First-Class" universities or internationally renowned universities in key majors, with major qualifications above undergraduate level, who come to China for innovation and starting up businesses, may apply for private affairs residence permits.
5. 来自国内“双一流”大学或国际知名大学重点专业的优秀外国毕业生，具有本科以上学历，来华创新创业，可申请私人事务居留许可。
6. Foreign graduates who have obtained a bachelor's degree or above from the world's top 500 universities or domestic "Double First-Class" universities in the past two years, with their major matching the position, will be given a work permit with a maximum validity of three years for the first time.
6. 过去两年内获得世界前500强大学或国内“双一流”大学本科以上学历的外国毕业生，专业与职位匹配，首次申请工作许可时，将获得最长有效期为三年的工作许可。
7. Foreign graduates will be exempt from the requirement of 2-year work experience when they apply for a work permit, under the condition that in principle their major matches the position requirements.

Facilitating channels for outstanding foreign students to innovate and start up businesses in Beijing, utilizing resources such as the HICOOL Global Entrepreneur Summit & Entrepreneurship Competition, and the Contact Beijing·Global Network for Innovation Services (GNIS), encouraging foreign students to innovate and start businesses in Beijing, and allowing foreign students, who have not yet registered a company during their startup phase, to apply for work permits through startup incubators or parks.
9. 利用HICOOL全球创业者峰会及创业大赛、北京·全球创新服务网络（GNIS）等资源，为优秀外国学生在北京创新创业提供便利渠道，鼓励外国学生在北京创新创业，并允许尚未注册公司的外国学生通过创业孵化器或园区申请工作许可。

10. Providing comprehensive services to foreign students settling in Beijing, including Chinese language training, watching performances at the National Center for the Performing Arts, festival gatherings, and exchange visits, to help them integrate into Beijing life at a faster pace.
