2022年末泽连斯基访美，在美国国会以英文发表演说，美国网民对泽连斯基的英文水平评价甚高。
前不久，外长和美国国务卿卢比奥通话，外交部发布的中文新闻稿中提及，外长告诉卢比奥，“希望你好自为之，为中美两国人民的未来，为世界的和平与稳定发挥建设性作用”。
英文新闻稿使用了I hope you will act accordingly，直译是“我希望你采取行动”。
新华社英文网说的是，「Wang expressed his hope that Rubio would make the right decisions and ...
“好自为之”这句话，在中文语境有劝诫，警告之意。
卢比奥谈到这次通话，说通话时的中方翻译没有说任何他觉得过分的话，如果有，他当时肯定会反击。
路透社翻译：「I hope you would conduct yourself well and play a constructive role in the future of the Chinese and American people and in world peace and stability. 」
英文「conduct yourself well」，希望对方行为得体，有训诫之意。
比较离谱的是，美国《新闻周刊》译成：「I hope you will take good care of yourself and play a constructive role for the future of the Chinese and American peoples and for world peace and stability.」
字面意思是：「希望你保重身体，为中美两国人民的未来、为世界的和平与稳定发挥建设性作用。」
