After his retirement, Joseph was interested in applying for a Talent Green Card in China to enjoy his old age, however, he was told that as a non-senior talented foreigner over the age of 60, he could not apply. This meant that in his line of work, he had to be appointed as an Associate Professor in order to stay in China. After much effort, Joseph was successfully recognized as an Associate Professor and therefore qualified to apply for a Talent Green Card. Eventually, he successfully applied for the Talent Green Card and realized his wish to enjoy his old age in China.

1.Holding the position of deputy general manager, deputy plant manager or above for four consecutive years in China, or having associate senior titles such as associate professor or associate researcher.

2.You have lived in China for at least three of the past four years and have a good tax record.

Foreigners over the age of 60, such as Joseph, can also apply for permanent residency if they have relatives in China, subject to the following conditions:
