Notice on System Downtime for Updates to the Foreigners Working in China Management Service System

关于外国人在中国工作管理服务系统更新维护的通知

To all system users:

致所有系统用户：In acordance with the requirements for integrating foreign work permits with social security cards, the system will undergo an update from 6:00 PM on November 29, 2024, to 6:00 PM on December 1, 2024.

根据将外国工作许可证与社会保障卡整合的要求，系统将于2024年11月29日下午6点至12月1日下午6点进行更新维护。

During this period, the system will be unavailable for access and use. Please plan your work and business activities in advance to minimize any inconvenience this may cause.

在此期间，系统将无法访问和使用。请提前规划您的工作和业务活动，以尽量减少由此带来的不便。

Working in China, but have no idea what is social security?

在中国工作，但不知道什么是社会保障？

According to Chinese law, foreign workers hired by Chinese employers, or expats who are sent to work in their foreign employers' branches or representative offices in China, are required to join the social security program that covers basic endowment insurance, basic medical insurance, work-related injury insurance, unemployment insurance, and maternity insurance.

根据中国法律，被中国雇主雇佣的外国工人，或被派往其外国雇主在中国的分支机构或代表处工作的外籍人士，必须参加包括基本养老保险、基本医疗保险、工伤保险、失业保险和生育保险在内的社会保障计划。

The fee must be paid by both the employer and the employee.

费用必须由雇主和雇员共同支付。

Employers must register their foreign employees with the social security scheme within 30 days of receiving their work permits.

雇主必须在收到工作许可证后30天内为其外籍雇员注册社会保障计划。
