（一）定义

用表示方式的连词连接一个句子，充当另一个句子的方式状语，这个句子就叫做方式状语从句。

常用来连接方式状语从句的连词有：as; just as; (just) as..., so...; as if/though。

（二）as

表示“按照”，如：

They did as I had asked.

Leave the papers as they are.

If you speak as she does, instead of the way you do, you might be selling flowers, too.

（三）just as

表示“正如”，如：

She lost it, just as I said she would.

Most plants need air just as they need water.

Happiness on hand is simple and transparent, just as two geese fly across the sky together.

（四）(just) as..., so...

表示“正如...，...”，如：

As water is to fish, so sunshine is to man.

Just as people differ, so do their learning styles.

Just as you hate Mr Green, so I dislike his wife.

（五）as if/though

表示“好像”，如：

It seems as if he knows everything.

There was a huge bang as if someone had exploded a rocket outside.

He raised his eyes slightly as though her words might somehow soil him.

She dolled herself up as though she was a girl of eighteen.
