Shanghai, the first stop for most foreigners visiting China, is known as the "novice village".

Shanghai took the top spot in a list of the 15 most visited cities in China by foreigners.

According to statistics, some of the "standard tourist attractions" that are "commonplace" to Shanghainese people unsurprisingly came out on top:

The Bund came in first with 14 votes,

Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street and Yu Garden tied for second place with 11 votes,

Lujiazui district of Pudong came in third with nine votes.

上海作为大多数外国人到访中国的第一站，被冠以“新手村”之名。上海在“外国人最爱游中国15城”中摘得桂冠，位居榜首。

同时，在海外游客的首选飞行目的地城市统计中，上海也是日本、韩国、美国、泰国、新加坡、澳大利亚、法国等国游客的中国大陆旅行第一选择。

据统计，一些对上海人而言“老生常谈”的“标准游客景点”不出意料地拔得头筹：

外滩以14票绝对优势位居第一，

南京路步行街和豫园以11票并列第二，

浦东陆家嘴区域则以9票位居第三。
