On July 31, the first batch of non-Chinese Hong Kong permanent residents received their travel permits for entry to the Chinese mainland.

7月31日，首批非中国籍香港永久居民获得了进入中国内地的旅行许可证。

Under the new regulations, holders of these permits can visit the Chinese mainland multiple times within the 5-year validity period, with each stay not exceeding 90 days. Additionally, after completing fingerprinting and other procedures at the port of entry, holders can bypass filling out the foreigner entry card and use expedited lanes for faster processing.

根据新规定，这些许可证的持有者在5年有效期内可以多次访问中国内地，每次停留时间不超过90天。此外，在入境口岸完成指纹采集等程序后，持有者可以免填写外国人入境卡，并使用快速通道进行更快的处理。

Danish-Macau permanent resident Thomas received his permit from the China Travel Service in Macau on the morning of July 31 and immediately began his trip to the mainland. He successfully completed the fingerprinting and other procedures at the Gongbei Port and entered through the expedited lane. Thomas, who has lived in Macau for 8 years and frequently travels to the mainland, expressed his relief at avoiding long queues with the new permit.  Since the new policy was implemented 20 days ago, over 20,000 people have made reservations to apply. Peng Ling, Director of the Immigration Administration’s Citizen Exit-Entry Management Department, stated that further comprehensive reforms will be pursued to continue advancing institutional openness.

丹麦-澳门永久居民托马斯在7月31日上午从澳门中国旅行社领取了他的许可证，并立即开始了前往内地的旅程。他在拱北口岸成功完成了指纹采集等程序，并通过快速通道入境。托马斯在澳门居住了8年，并且经常前往内地，他对于新许可证能够避免长时间排队感到欣慰。自20天前新政策实施以来，已有超过2万人预约申请。出入境管理局公民出入境管理司司长彭玲表示，将进一步推进综合改革，继续推动制度开放。
